Jumperfabriken & Sustainability

SLOW FASHION

At Jumperfabriken, we create timeless garments that will last for a long time, both in terms of quality and style. Ever since the very start in 2008, we are a proud “Slow Fashion” company, encouraging a well thought out consumption. This in a few words means that the power lies in buying less but instead buying excellent quality garments.
When buying a garment from us, you buy that special piece that can be worn and loved over and over again!

MATERIAL

We believe in creating long-lasting, timeless garments. Our philosophy is combining a creative design, an ultimate fit and long-lasting materials in order to extend the lifespan of any of our garments. All our garments are designed at our head office in Gothenburg.
We work extensively with natural materials such as wool and cotton. Our materials are of high quality, comfortable to wear and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified.

PRODUCTION

Our responsibility is producing your favorite garments in the most sustainable way possible. Having established a long-term relationship with several of our suppliers enables us a good insight into the production.

We produce our clothes in several countries including Lithuania, Portugal, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Sweden and China. We have signed agreements with all partners to comply with Amfori / BSCI's Code of Conduct regarding working, conditions, and the environment.

The production and distribution between countries varies depending on seasons. We are happy to answer any question regarding origin of the garment produced, please let us know which one of our styles you would like to know the country of production and we will get back to you as soon as we can. PACKAGING

We are very proud to have reduced our plastic usage! Nowadays we send all our web orders in paper bags. It is easy to adjust the size of the bag to fit needs and contents, in order to send a package as small as possible. Furthermore, the bag is easy to reuse, either in case of a return or as a suitable gift bag.

TRANSPORTATION

When the garment is produced, it is sent to our warehouse in Mölndal outside of Gothenburg. We use truck transport for the production within Europe and shipping transport for most production from China. We always think of optimizing space and reducing air - the garments are packed as tightly as possible, to minimize transporting unnecessary volumes.

All our web returns are sent back to our warehouse in Mölndal where the garments are reviewed and repackaged again. Do think carefully when ordering so to avoid unnecessary returns and freights.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

To extend the lifespan of your garments do take care of it properly. Do carefully read the care instructions inside of your garment. It is rarely necessary to wash a 100 % wool garment, often it is enough to air them inside out and they will become fresh again. Follow the link below for more tips and advice.

RECYCLING

“Thoughtful Clothing”. We are often told that our garments last for long. We have always strived to create timeless clothes in long-lasting materials. If you for any reason wish to pass on any of your Jumperfabriken garment you could do so. A few times a year we arrange “Second Life” in our stores and you have the opportunity to leave your “carefully taken care off garment” with us. This will give someone else the opportunity to continue wearing the garment and you will of course get a great offer from us for acting thoughtful and caring.

“THERE IS MUCH LOVE INVOLVED THROUGHOUT OUR PROCESS TO A FINAL JUMPERFABRIKEN GARMENT. WE TRULY HOPE THAT YOU WILL LOVE YOUR CHOSEN GARMENT AS MUCH AS WE DO”
